Nomination FAQs

Visit the Nomination Page where you can submit a written story that demonstrates how the hockey association you want to nominate demonstrates each of the following 4 judging criteria:

REACH those in the community in need of financial assistance 
INSPIRE youth to fall in love with the sport 
SUPPORT youth in developing life skills they can use outside the arena 
ENCOURAGE diversity and inclusion in the community through hockey initiatives

Submissions should follow the template provided and be a minimum of 100 words (excluding spaces).

Submissions will be evaluated and assigned points based on how the nominated hockey association demonstrates each of the following criteria:

REACH those in the community in need of financial assistance 
INSPIRE youth to fall in love with the sport 
SUPPORT youth in developing life skills they can use outside the arena 
ENCOURAGE diversity and inclusion in the community through hockey initiatives

Any individual who is the age of majority in their province/territory can submit a nomination. (This includes individuals who are members of hockey associations.)

An individual can only nominate a hockey association once. However, the same hockey association can have multiple approved nominations/submissions from different, unique individuals.

In order to be eligible for nomination, hockey associations must:

  • have an existing financial assistance program for hockey families.
  • provide sporting opportunities to at least 50 youth hockey players.
  • have certified coaching staff.
  • have a player safety program and/or policies.
  • have an abuse and harassment training and/or policies.

Nominations must be submitted by February 10, 2025.

The five hockey associations who are selected as winners will receive $25,000 to help families who need financial assistance with hockey registration fees and/or equipment.

The five winning hockey associations will be eligible for an additional $75,000 Grand Prize. The Grand Prize winner will be decided by a secondary application explaining the association’s vision for how they will use the additional funding to give more kids access hockey.

The five winning hockey associations will be announced in late March 2025.

 Get Your Toque FAQs

The program is open to residents of Canada  who have reached the legal age of majority in their province/territory of residence at the time of entry, except employees, representatives or agents (and those with whom such persons are domiciled, whether related or not) of Kruger Products Inc. (the “Sponsor”), its subsidiaries, affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies and any other individual(s), entity or entities involved in the development, production, implementation, administration or fulfillment of the program. There is a LIMIT of one per household.

Kruger Products Inc. (the “Sponsor”) is offering eligible Scotties®’, Cashmere®/ Purex®, Bonterra® and SpongeTowels® customers the opportunity to receive a FREE Kruger Big Assist Toque when you purchase any one (1) participating Kruger Big Assist Specially Marked Pack, Snap a photo of your receipt and the specially marked pack, and upload it to KrugerBigAssist.ca.

  • Visit KrugerBigAssist.ca
  • Complete the form with all required information (First Name, Last Name, E-mail address, Phone number, complete mailing address (including postal code)), select the Participating Retailer where purchases of Participating Products were made, upload your receipt following the on-screen instructions and prompts, confirm you have reached the age of majority in your providence or territory of residence and have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Select “SUBMIT” to submit your fully completed request
  • After clicking “Submit”, you will receive a new webpage with the following message “Thank you! We have received your submission. Keep your original sales receipt as it may be requested. Please allow 72 hours for validation processing. The status of your request will be sent by email. Please ensure you check your inbox, spam or junk folders after 72 hours have lapsed for an e-mail from the Sponsor.”
  • If for any reason, there is a problem with your submitted Request you will receive an e-mail from the Sponsor which among other things will indicate the reason why your Request could not be processed at this time. 
  • If Request is determined to be valid by the Sponsor (in its sole and absolute discretion), you will receive an e-mail from the Sponsor confirming that your Kruger Big Assist Toque will be sent via mail to the mailing address set out in your Request within two (2) to four (4) weeks.  

Please note that each receipt may only be used once during the period of the offer.

Once you've submitted your receipt, it will take up to 72 hours for it to be validated. You will receive an email confirming whether the receipt is valid or not within this timeframe.

Your Toque will be mailed to you within 2-4 weeks upon validating your receipt.

The offer begins on January 1, 2025 12:00:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST) and ends on March 7, 2025 11:59:59PM (EST). Purchase must take place between January 1, 2025 and February 28, 2025.

Submission of product photo and receipt must be completed by March 7, 2025.
