ATELIER VOLPE

Designer ALYSSA VOLPE abandoned a planned career in dentistry to launch her Atelier Volpe brand of luxury women’s wear in 2020. “Surviving a launch during a global pandemic was a serious challenge,” she admits, but since then she’s had the satisfaction of seeing her clothes in TATLER and Vanity Fair magazine, for example, and worn by the likes of supermodel Nini Amerlise. This Torontonian says her work is most inspired by the passion, creativity, elegance and profound cultural history she associates with Paris. “Arriving in Paris for the first time was like coming home.” Alyssa’s particular affinity dovetails nicely with the 2021 Cashmere Collection theme, given that Paris was the very heart of La Belle Époque!

Unabashed Francophile ALYSSA VOLPE’s entrance-maker gown is fit for a Belle Époque era rendezvous chez Maxim’s, while also qualifying as a guaranteed head-turner based on her modern take, for a gala special occasion. This bateau neckline dress’s ultrafeminine delights include a flowered ruff, doubled bubble skirt showered with Cashmere Bathroom Tissue posies, and an all-over veil of suspended blossoms.
