Curtis Matysek is a Canadian fashion designer, researcher, and founder of Wuthering Delight. A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Fashion, Matysek is known for innovative, one-of-a-kind garments that merge conceptual storytelling with technical excellence. Their work has earned national acclaim, including a top-three finish on Project Runway Canada where they won the Cashmere Collection challenge, features in Vogue and Canada's Drag Race. As an emerging leader in Canadian fashion, Matysek’s continues to push contemporary design while shaping the evolving dialogue between fashion, identity, and performance.
Garment Inspiration
Curtis interpreted “Symphony” as dueling and conflicting forces coming together harmoniously. This concept is communicated through the use of distressed and torn bathroom tissue contrasted against clean lines and strong shapes. The design explores themes of creation through transformation and rebirth.
