Christopher Paunil is a Filipino-Canadian fashion and costume designer who entered the Toronto fashion scene designing and working with local fashion and apparel brands. In 2010, he started his namesake bridal and eveningwear label, which has gone on to sell internationally.
Garment Inspiration
Christopher has imagined the gown as a living symphony garden, where cascading floral appliqués bloom like musical notes flowing along a score. Each flower represents an individual experience, symbolizing resilience and movements of life shaped by cancer. Delicate vine embroidery sweeps like musical rhythm, intertwining blooms to reflect how lives connect, creating an emotionally expressive composition of strength and hope.
